The Story Behind the Project
When I moved to San Francisco from France in 2017, I was struck by how the Korean community was spread across the Bay Area — vibrant, diverse, but not always easy to discover. Over time, I met incredible people and projects connecting Korea and the Bay Area in ways I had never imagined. Yet these stories often went untold.
The idea for Korea by the Bay grew out of a desire to change that — to build a space where these connections could be celebrated, shared, and preserved.
